Mysterious Code is the infrastructure team for startups and software companies that do not have one in-house. Your engineers write the application, we make it run. The engineers who design it also run it
Most consultancies sell you a senior and then hand delivery to someone else. We do not. The people you talk to before the work starts are the people who do it. No offshore teams, no account managers, no handover between sales and delivery.
We stay deliberately small and take on a few clients at a time, which is how we keep that accountability real. Everyone who works on your platform is senior and AWS-certified, and our founder, Paulina Budzoń, stays close to every engagement, so your work is never passed around a rotating team.
What we run
In practice, making it run means everything underneath the application:
- Accounts and network. A multi-account AWS setup with guardrails from day one, and networking that keeps private things private.
- Pipelines and deployments. Automated build and release, so shipping is routine and a rollback is one step.
- Monitoring and response. Alerts that reach someone who knows your environment, with response expectations agreed in writing.
- Security and cost. Least-privilege access for people and applications, continuous checks on the security posture, and spend that stays explained month to month.
All of it is built as Infrastructure-as-Code, so every change is reviewed like application code and any environment can be rebuilt from the repository.

Paulina Budzoń
Cloud Architect & DevOps Engineer
Paulina is a Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer with around a decade of AWS depth, holding the AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification since 2016 and the Solutions Architect Professional since 2017. She started as a PHP developer, moved through Linux and systems administration, and grew into AWS and DevOps architecture: a senior who has lived the whole stack your developers work in, automates in Python, and works alongside your team rather than from a cloud console.
She has authored two Packt video courses on cloud-native AWS, serverless and containers, and represents Mysterious Code at AWS and industry conferences.
